Thursday, 16 July 2026 – Virgin of Carmen Day and the maritime procession in Moraira

08:00 – Solemn ringing of the bells and the fourth festive “Despertà” accompanied by the No Ni Què brass band. The morning festive procession will continue the programme of Fiestas Patronales Moraira 2026 and will mark the beginning of one of the most important days of the celebrations, dedicated to Virgen del Carmen (Virgin of Carmen) – the patron saint of sailors and fishermen.

11:00 – Gathering of festival participants and a festive procession accompanied by the No Ni Què brass band. Participants will walk through the streets of Moraira, preserving local festival traditions and creating a festive atmosphere in the town centre.

12:00 – Solemn mass in honour of the town’s patron saint – Virgin of Carmen (Virgen del Carmen). The religious service will be accompanied by a performance by the Teulada Choir (Cor Teuladí) and will become one of the main religious events of the day.

14:00 – A large pyrotechnic procession approximately one kilometre long through the streets of Moraira. The festive pyrotechnic programme will pass through the town and finish on the promenade Paseo del Senillar, where a digital “Mascletà” will take place – a traditional pyrotechnic performance by Valenciana Pirotecnia.

17:00–18:30 – Registration of participants for the 17th Tomato Growing Competition. Everyone wishing to take part in the traditional town competition can register at the headquarters of the Moraira Neighborhood Council at the following address: C/ Almacenes, 9.
