Magical Routes through the Mountains of Ibi: 2026 Hiking Programme
Magical Routes through the Mountains of Ibi is a series of organised hiking routes through the mountainous areas of the municipality of Ibi (province of Alicante, Valencian Community). The programme brings together seven routes distributed throughout the year and introduces participants to the natural heritage, mountain landscapes, and ecological diversity of the region.
All routes are carried out as guided hikes with an organised format and a unified departure time — 09:00 in the morning.
2026 Hiking Routes Programme
- 14 March – “Serra Grossa – Alt de la Sra. Marleta or Fernoveta” (994 m). Departure from the Biodiversity Museum.
- 25 April – “Serra del Biscol – Racó de les Rates” (1,071 m). Departure by car from Ibi Town Hall.
- 30 May – Font Roja Natural Park – Alt de Pilatos (1,341 m). Departure by car from Ibi Town Hall.
- 26 September – “Serra del Carrascal – Pedra dels Tres Termes” (1,154 m). Departure by car from Ibi Town Hall.
- 24 October – “Serra del Carrascal – Cabeçet de Domingo” (1,105 m). Departure by car from Ibi Town Hall.
- 28 November – “Serra del Quarter – Cabeç Roig” (914 m). Departure by car from Ibi Town Hall.
- 24 December – Ascent to Belén de la Teixereta (1,338 m). Departure from Plaza de la Palla.
Route Features
Each programme route is a themed hike through the mountain ranges surrounding Ibi. Participants discover natural landscapes, geological features, and panoramic viewpoints of the region.
The routes vary in difficulty and altitude, allowing participation both for experienced hikers and well-prepared outdoor enthusiasts.
Organisation and Participation Conditions
All hikes start at 09:00 in the morning from the indicated departure points. Participants are advised to check route details and weather conditions in advance, as well as to wear appropriate footwear and clothing suitable for mountain terrain.
The programme is designed to promote eco-tourism in the Ibi region and to highlight the natural areas of the Sierra de la Mariola and surrounding mountain ranges.
